Croatia l 2008 Events

From July 17-21, 2008, in Zagreb, Croatia, Association “Za novi dan” (For a new day) presented brochures to the public that provide answers to most common questions that arise after cancer diagnosis. Dr. Mirando Mrsic and Dr. Zeljko Jovanovic talked about the problems that most patients face when dealing with cancer. Since this event was held under the motto “Music and knowledge against cancer,” rock bands Spoonleaf and En Face provided musical entertainment.

As a part of this project, a petition was organized with the goal of improving the treatment of cancer patients in Croatia. This petition is still open and more than 1,000 people signed it during these four days. Many people were interested in the project, including cancer patients.
