Sarcoma Awareness Gone Wild!
Sunday, July 26th, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Buffalo, New York

Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) hosted “Sarcoma Awareness Gone Wild” on Sunday, July 26th at the Buffalo Zoo. More than 300 people enjoyed the festivities, which included free admission to the zoo, a catered lunch, animal demonstrations, and a free “Sarcoma Knows No Borders” bracelet and souvenir t-shirt.

The event was part of the worldwide Team Sarcoma Initiative where medical centers, advocacy groups, and patient and family groups around the world held events during the same week. The effort was designed to increase public awareness about sarcoma, a rare cancer of the soft tissues and bones, and to raise funds to support sarcoma research, clinical trials and patient and family services.
